One more thing: be sure to express to whomever you bring him that you view his pain as an 8 out 10 (or whatever). Tell them his current pain mgmt. is unacceptable, that he is suffering excessively.
Ask them if they're going to put lidocaine in the stitch area before they re-do it. Make sure he's on antibiotics and ask them if you should have a topical antibiotic as well.
