Hello All, I'm a newbie (a very sad one at that). One of our kitchen chairs tilted over this morning and landed on my poor baby's foot. I just got the call from the vet stating that all four metatarsals have been broken and are scattered in her foot. They put her under anesthesia and attempted as much as possible to put the bones back in place and has placed a splint on her foot. My vet is referring me to an ortho surgeon. Has anyone else gone through this? It goes without saying...how much I love her and of course I'd do anything necessary to get this fixes but I need to know if I'm going to have to take out a second mortgage on my home to pay for it, cuz it's already 1pm and the bank closes at 4. Any info would be greatly appreciate.
