That's exactly what I did with Tetley and it worked great. I slowly transitioned him into the bed by just letting him up for naps, then just letting him up in the morning a few hours before I got up. He's never had an accident in the bed, and has little doggy steps next to the bed so he can get down to use his pee pad if he needs to. Now I can't imagine NOT sleeping with him!
