I am extremely allergic to cats, and I'm allergic to dust, pollen, etc. I'm not really allergic to dogs, just that when there's a lot of hair or they shed a lot, I get allergy symptoms. That being said, I am not allergic to hypoallergenic dogs...I have a maltese and a yorkie and I have absolutely no problems at all. I think that if your boyfriend has stayed the night and has spent a lot of time in your home and hasn't had any symptoms, living with you and your yorkie won't make it a problem. But you never know. I hope he's not allergic to your dog because that could make for a very miserable time for him. It wouldn't be good for his health.
