I had a dog trainer tell me once that leaving them outside for long periods of time, although they enjoy it can hinder potty training. He said they need to know they are going outside specifically to go potty, as soon as they go praise them and let them back in. If they are out for long periods of time it is more like a play time to them than a potty break. Once they are trained and they know that going outside is for potty breaks you can leave them out. I don't know if this will help or not but its worth a try!!
