Hi Blades,
My 3 yr old Yorkie was diagnosed with pancreatitis about a year ago. Please don't feel guilty as mine has NEVER had table scraps and still got it!! He is currently going thru his second bout of it, but seems to be doing better. The first just about killed him, it came on so suddenly, over night!! He spent a week in the hospital, but thank gawd came thru it alright.

As for now, the hospital gave him shots of antibiotics, pepcid, and fluids. He is on a boiled rice and chicken diet, and the intestinal bleeding has stopped. I'll be taking him to the vet tomorrow for a checkup, so hopefully all is going well.

Please remember that once they get pancreatitis, they will likely have episodes of it yearly, so be very careful.
