Last year, we had over 25 hummingbirds....I have seen about 15 this year, so far. They are mean to each other....we have several feeders scattered around and some will pick one as their own.....then they sit and wait....and if another bird comes to it, they dive at it! It is crazy! They are smart though, because one will come and take the heat for it from the "master" of the feeder and while those two of flying around "fighting", others will come in to drink! I guess I SHOULD get more feeders, but geez......
Oh, the Orioles like to drink from the hummingbird feeders too....they are the orange and black birds....their feeders look much like the hummingbird feeders, but are orange. Their nector is the same too.
