When he stayed at your parents, did he ever get shaky? It's pretty common for them to eat less at a strange house or kennel.
It's usually seen mostly in pups, so if he's healthy he should grow out of it. My Marcel is 21 weeks and the only time I use it now is before and after the vet.
You could also ask the kennel to give him a dab of Nutrical a.m. and p.m., if they notice he's not eating enough - or even if he is (it'd help w/ extra stress-burned calories). That way, you might not worry as much.
