Default Referring to yorkies being Hyploglycemic....

Is this generally in PUPPIES?? As they get older, is their body able to regulate it's sugars better?? or is it also common in older dogs too? My pup is 6 mos. now, and I just want to know if he is getting in the 'clear'. We will be bringing him to a kennel when we take our vacation this year..........and I just don't want to be wondering if he is/isn't eating. He stayed at my parents house while our family went away for a weekend, and he didn't want to eat much food............please let me know if they kind of GROW OUT OF IT or not.

Thanks!
Heidi

PS also..........he DOES have extra "cushiness" on his body......he's by no means lean.......but he's NOT overweight either.
