Aww!!
I remember that day as much as I try to forget it!!
Sheba recovered very quickly ~ much quicker than my husband and I did from the stress of it all!!! My husband would wake up in the middle of the night and turn the light on to check on her! She sleeps with us.
She wound up taking out her own stitches a few days earlier than they were to be taken out and the little patch of hair grew back tout sweet!
4 o'clock will come quickly....especially if you're pacing like I did!
The vet that I have now has a visitation room for after your dog is done with their surgery where you can go in a room and sit with them while they're coming out of the anethesia. If they have to stay overnight you can stop in at 9 p.m. and say goodnight and they have someone who stays in the recovery room all night who you can call even if it's 2 a.m. and see how they're doing.
And they're installing video so you can log onto the computer and keep an eye on things.
He costs a little more but he also gives us his cell phone number when he's not going to be in the office and will come to the house if you need him to.
He says that a large part of his job is keeping the mommies and daddies calm and he does a great job keeping ALL of us happy.
(You should see his boarding rooms! 4 post beds and heated floors!)
If you're not going to breed, this is a necessary thing. Its alot better than having male dogs jump your fence or be waiting at the door when they're in heat!!
