According to what she and Barbara have said, the only reason she signed on for ayear was because Barbara personally asked her to do it. She only wanted a year because she is very devoted to her family. She only wanted another one year contract and ABC wanted her to sign a minimum 3 year contract. She said she isn't leaving completely, she will do special guest appearances and special segments here and there.
I have really liked the dyanmic she brought to the show. I like that she speaks her mind whether she will be popular for it or not. Whether you like her or don't like her, she has some great things she supports with her foundation....
