I'm sorry you paid extra for a smaller dog. This is something we all have to be
aware of and please spread around the name of the breeder or store you got your little baby from! People should know that this is not a reputable place to buy a dog from. In the end all that really matters is that your dog is healthy. I was told exactly the same thing when I bought Max, and when he weighed in at 5.5 pounds at 6 months, I also realized that he was going to be well over the 4 pounds they told me he would be. I adore him, could care less, and am just grateful that he's healthy. He's a year old now and weighs in at about 7.5 pounds, which is a bit over the standard, but he's a sturdy little guy and I like that.
