Interesting ... we've always gone the homecooked route for Ozzie -- and now his two cat brothers eat the same, along with daily crunchies. I did see some ads for new stuff in the freezer case but didn't try it. Is that what the stuff is?

We've always made patties (ground chuck or ground round) and frozen them -- but then cooked them to be mixed with other meats and/or veggies before feeding it.

As for making your own patties, I would be concerned about giving them raw, red meat. (I know, I know. That's what dogs in the wild eat.) IMHO you avoid the recall scare with wheat gluten and then set yourself up for e coli, salmonella or the like!

You could probably cook and then FREEZE them. Maybe they'd still eat it then.
