 ugh Frustrated With Potty Training
The bells that I have are known as POOchie-Bells and you can buy them over the Internet. I would not recommend trying to use them until your Yorkie is old enough to be trained to follow simple commands. The idea is that you hang the bells (which are secured on a sturdy ribbon) on the inside of the door that your dog typically goes out to pee/poop and leave them there all the time. At first, every time you take your dog out, you give the same command, such as "Outside?. . . Ring the Bells!" And the people who make these suggest that everyone in the house give the same exact command when letting the dog out. After stating the command, you ring the bell in front of the dog where he can see it and hear it. In time, the idea is that the dog will do it himself to alert you that he needs to go outside.
