here is my experience. we kept muffie in the bathroom as well when she was a baby. my vet advised me not to b/c of the germs in the bathroom. he advised to crate her while we were gone.

this is when i was working....

we crated her, of course i could not hear her cry while i was at work.

at night, she would cry for about 45 LONG minutes like she was dieing.

it was about two months and she would go to her crate when we command her to.

now being three years old, always goes into the crate to sleep, rest and all is good.

training babies is hard and long. it does take patients. but just like with our own babies....we let them cry themselves to sleep

good luck to you and congrats on the baby
