Sorry to hear that you were taken advantage of. It always saddens me when I hear of breeders jacking up prices and calling their dogs "teacups" in order to get more money.
Your baby is still quite small even at 5 pounds. I actually think that is a nice size, still really small but not too terribly fragile. I wish you and your baby the best of luck!
