she really shouuld be in another room.. Layla gets put in her crate in a different room... it's a dominance thing... she will know that you are higher up because you eat first and she can't be in the room.. she'll cry the first few times.. layla did.. .but now if she is quiet.. when i am done supper and AWAY from the table i'll give her a piece of whatever we are having.
