when we first got Buckeye we gave him anything he wanted. i poached him an egg in the mornings and he had his own meals. (people food). one day he got really sick. he was vomiting blood. i rushed him in to see the vet. the first thing the vet asked me is "what are you feeding him?". after fasting him and medication for a week or so we no longer give him those things.
Bless this site i now have learned what is safe for him to eat.
He really scared me and I do get past the big beggin' eyes when we eat our meals.
sorry after reading this over i see it looks like i fasted him for a week. it was not a week it was for 24 hrs. the medication was for a week or so.
