It could be a red flag, only because the breeder may not know every dog within the line.
I do know that reputable breeders can tell you about every dog within the pedigree. Especially show breeders, they hand pick and breed their dogs because of desired traits to improve their lines. And their pedigrees carry generations of Champions of some of the most notable established kennels
