I'm so sorry you were dupped....Unsuspecting families wanting a wee one can be lured in by those that advertise "Teacups, micro-minis and Pocket Rockets
But, be thankful that the puppy didn't remain small. Small ones even though they may be healthy require extra care, no matter how you look at it. Prone to accidents, etc.

There is no minimum size listed in the standard, just not to exceed 7 pounds.....

Your baby at 5.5 pounds is still relatively a little dog.
