I've had two dogs in the past. I had a Yorkie and a poodle/peke mix. They were three years apart and I didn't find it hard at all. Both of them are gone now and I now have one Yorkie and he will be two next week. I just recently started considering getting another one. When he was one I was not yet ready for another. He was still quite the handful for me. But now I think maybe it would be OK. He has matured some in this last year.
