Abbie and I are in dire need of some advice about the hairs around her eyes and muzzle. Even though like everyone else here I want to show only the cutest photos of my girls, the truth is, they don't always look so great! Abbie's muzzle and eye hairs haven't been cut since she was 5 months old (her first grooming). She's 2 1/2 years old now and this is all the growth she's made in all that time! Is it time to just give up and clip her muzzle and eye hair short? It just doesn't have enough weight to lay down on either side of her muzzle. The hairs have a tendency to clump and get brittle and crusty on a daily basis, I guess because she licks her chops alot. I've shown her morning photo before combing and then after which still isn't all that great. Bless her little heart, this is what we deal with every day! The rest of her body has grown long although it's still very fine. My other girl, Lucy turned a year old yesterday and her muzzle hair lays great, nice and long and thick. Any suggestions? I'm now grooming the girls myself. Thanks so much in advance.
