(on the secondary topic) collars are fine on yorkies for ID as long as you don't walk them by hooking the leash to it. only leash to a harness.

there are also break away collars (if you can't find it in the dog section, look in the cat collars) in case they get snagged - it will break off and not squeeze their neck. I don't use this type though because his ID tags would be rather pointless if he got lost, he'd snag on something and lose them.
