I have decided to keep her in the kitchen during the day. That way she will have some room to play in and she can also see out.

I have some potty pads down now and she has been using them here and there. However I have also been taking her outside and she has been going out there as well. In 2 days she has only had 2 accidents so I guess that is working okay?

I tried sticking her in her crate during the day and she just freaks out and carries on. I had her in there for about 2 hours until she stopped whinning and then I took her out. However after that she is all worked up and it takes her sometime to claim down.

I guess the only way to get her to sleep at night is to keep her close to us in her crate and then get up with her if need be?
