 new baby not eating
Hi. I have a nine week old baby weighing in at two pounds. She came home yesterday and does not seem to eat much. She woke up twice during the night. Once to do wee wee on the pad and the second time seemed very hungry and took about a teaspoon of pureed boiled chicken. Today, she hasn't eaten anything but maybe a half of teaspoon of the same. I have given her nutracal (Two ribbon size portions today) and one last night. I did get her to take a few licks of puppy milk and she has had some water. She seems healthy and active, but she's very skinny looking and I'm afraid that she's not getting enough. This isn't my first puppy but it is the first time I've had trouble with eating. I did not agree with her leaving the mom so soon, and normally would call and have her go back to the mom for a bit but I do not feel that it's a safe environment for her.
