She's probably still recovering from surgery. It's a pretty major surgery, I would say, and she probably just needs some more time to get back to her old self

How old is she? My maltese, Emma, can really chew things up too. She's 10 months old and chews the ends of the non-edible nylabones in no time flat. LOL
