I had a pair but, they weren't the "riding" doggles. they looked like regular sunglasses....the glasses should have come with instructions on what to do with the extra strap.
some of these little ones are too small for the glasses. that extra strap helps to keep the glasses on. I believe it goes over the top of the head and hooks onto each side of the bows. this way it keeps the lens away from their eyes.
