Red face Spay/neuter regrets?

Okay...
I've never ever had doubts about spaying my little lola. She is absolutely gorgeous, but she came as the "runt of the litter" and was a badass tomboy. Also she had some hernia problems that were addressed at the same time as her spay, so of course, no regrets there...

but...
yesterday I found a litter of stray cats. They're a big problem in our neighborhood, and brings us massive flea infestations every year, so I do my best as an upstanding citizen (since they were on my property) to round up the little ones. Of the three absolutely adorable kitties, I managed to round up two of them. One was really mean and angry and kept throwing hissy fits, but the other was just playful and loveable.

Lola took to the second one and watched over her as if she were her mommy. It makes me sad to think that I am responsible from taking away her chance at becoming a mom, and seeing her in the yard with the kitten always underneath her (she protected and watched over the kitten everywhere in the yard) I kinda wish she could've had just one litter.

I know, I know, be a responsible breeder and all that. I guess My own maternal instincts came out when I saw my little Lola 14 mos. acting like a mommy... *sigh* *sniff* *sniff*
