Roxy had both done at the same time. Her surgery wasn't that bad, the Vet only deepend the groves, tighten the muscles. She was confined to an xpen for 6 weeks. The first 4 days she sepnt in the Hospital. The next week was rough, b/c she really couldn't walk but wanted to. I had to make a make shift 'sling' to hold her up for her to go potty. After 6 weeks, she was allowed free run, but, we went back for a check up and her one leg didn't stablize, so she had to do surgery again. This time it was the classic 'cut and pin' type surgery for LP. Her recovery time was a minimum of 8 weeks.

I have been told by many that b/c they are soooooooo tiny, they recovery quickly and can handle doing both at the same time.

This is a very serious recovery period. You can't not let them have free run and normal yorkie life until the Dr. says they are healed.

There are sooooooooooooooo many posts here on YT talking about LP.

Go to the top menu and in the 'search' type in:
Luxating Patella

You'll find lots and lots of good info.

Best of luck and keep us posted!
