Mojo's vet had said that his knee caps move too, but if they were not bothering him (stopping him for jumping or hurting when he runs, etc) - which we have never noticed a problem.......that she would do surgery, but they would do it one at a time because it be easier on him. He hasn't had any problems, so the vet hasn't recommended surgery for him yet.
Like most surgeries, I would think they would shave pretty much the whole leg area. I would just sit down w/ the vet and go over everything to see what it will include and what will be done.
