I was told that giving too much cottage cheese and calcium while pregnant can increase the possibliities of eclampsia while nursing. Yet on the other hand some swear by it so I guess moderation is the key. I personally think over supplementing is bad. In small doses I think it has benefits as long as it doesn't overload her system causing a crash after the puppies start to nurse. I do feed puppy kibble when pregnant too.
