Our last house was built on a 1 acre site that used to be a pony farm...we were walking towards the house from the back of the yard one day and I saw something sticking up out of the dirt. I pulled it out and it was an old buggy whip. Well...Jo, being the total terrier that he is...attacked it and wouldn't let go. He will chase anything that moves and that goofy thing has kept his interest since he was a few months old so I'd say it's a hit! He gets some excersize and his teeth get flossed twice a day! He just 'killed' the original buggy whip so we had to go buy him a new one.
Not a traditional toy but he loves it and it makes him happy.
