I'm an avid scrapbooker, but when we adopted Sophie, I folded my scrapbook table and put it and all my scrapbook items in the closet. I knew that I would have no time to devote to my hobby until Sophie got a little older, so I didn't want the constant tug on my life to scrapbook.
Well, we've had Sophie for almost 3 months and she's just a big part of our family now. So...I'm putting my scrapbook table and supplies back out, and I hope to start working on pages again.
The feeling I got when I put the table up was akin to 'giddy.' It was so funny, so touch the table and get this big thrill because not only was I going to get to scrapbook again, my life was beginning to have a semblance of 'normalcy' to it now.
I'm so happy to be getting back to normal, and I hope that my post will inspire those of you who have new Yorkie babies, who wonder if life will ever return to normal again, and to also say that all those days of 24/7 being with my Yorkie and loving on her, training her have finally paid off.
Wait - my life isn't normal. It's *better* than normal. I have Sophie!! |
Good for you! Syd is 7 months and I still can't scrapbook unless I'm out of the house.

Have fun getting back to your hobby
