Yes, yes, yes you did the right thing. Scared dogs don't need to be rough-handled to show them who's boss. They need to learn to trust that you will do what's right for them. Respect is a better control over your dog than fear. My yorkie x was put on a choke collar by a vet so he could show me how I needed to sort him out. We swapped vets naturally!! |
