My 2 year old yorkie Ginger was diagnosed of Luxating Patella Both knees. The Ortho Surgeon recommended surgery but he said that he will do both knees at the same time. His reason was... to shorten the recovery meaning if 1 knee will be done - it will take around 6 months for each knee, total of 12 months.
I would like to get your opinion which is better: doing both knees or just one knee at a time. For those who had experience on these kind of surgery, how long is the recovery? My Ginger has full coat, how far do they shave?
