Don't you find that we are reading stories like this in the paper and the people committing these crimes are getting younger and younger. I am NOT defending this person at all, but I want to know what brings a person to this kind of act. I have a young son and his emotional health and growth are paramount to my husband and I. He is given responsibilities for the dog and he completes these and is very proud of himself. I wonder what were this kids parents like? How much supervision did he get as a child? was any care taken for his emotional well-being. If you have sons or know of anyone with "at-risk" boys, I recommend reading the book "Raising Cain: Protecting the Emotional Life of Boys" I am reading it now and it is eye-opening.
