Your little guy is very cute, and I think most of us on here treat our furbabies as if they were children. My hubby and I don't have any skin kids yet, and our families know that our furbabies are our children. When people ask them if we have kids, they say "yeah, a boy and a girl, one is a yorkie and the other maltese" LOL
