little do most people know this but they will take in water through their mouths and nose. for some reason, it goes into their lungs not the throat. i never saw muffie go under or appear to take in water but the vet said it doesn't take much since their lungs are so small. my muffie loves the pool and jumps in (3ft high above ground) so now, everytime she goes out (while the pool is up), i have to be out there with her. ohhh and she can climb the ladder so i have to take it out of the pool.

muffie can swim very well and for a very long time. i think i can get her a vest and this way, her head will be way above the water so that she doesn't take any water in. but i will ask my vet first
