So sorry to hear about your Roxy......I hate those big litters and what they do to mom. Go-Go's last litter, though only 3 in the litter, were growing and gaining by leaps and bounds. This litter was climbing out of the whelping box at 3 days old and making their way to mom's cottage cheese bowl and lapping it up. I really got scared at how fast they were growing and at 2 weeks contacted the vet, faxed over their daily growth chart. He had me start supplementing the pups for fear they were taking to much out of mom.
The Wise One usually administers calcium shots (3 times a week) and steps up giving the dam's meals with litters over 4.
