I got washable crib pads from ebay and cut them to size I wanted, and stiched around the edges. They were 2onds, and some had a few small flaws. Works just great.

i hang them out back, and rinse them. When they are dry, I put them in a garbage bag, and when i have a load, I bring inside, and throw them in the washer.

Mine are white, and they still come out looking clean.
