I found this little guy on Petfinder and as it turns out, was due to be PTS tomorrow (5/2/07). Linda drove to the shelter to check him out and my friend Wendy is going to pick him up for me tomorrow (she's only 18 miles away versus my 40+ and heavy Houston traffic). She will drop him at my vet's office for a once-over and hopefully he'll be home with us soon.

If you read my previous thread about the female in Corsicana, you'll remember I had to have her put to sleep due to major cancer in her mouth. This after less than 48 hours with me. And, in many threads, I've mentioned my first love, Chester, whom I rescued several years ago and lost in 2005.

Oh, I so adore the pitiful little things and watching them come back from their horrible circumstances. His little eyes are matted shut, but hopefully it's treatable.

I'M SOOO EXCITED! Will post pics asap!
