I do Coco's hair (I don't think it's even long enough yet..hehe) and she totally just sits still. I do however provide yummy treats for her to munch on while I tie her bow. If it's too tight she will paw at it and I will loosen it. I got ribbons at the jewelry shop in the mall called Claire's. They are made for newbord and they don't have rubber band, but they have velcro bands. You should try those because the velcro sticks nicely and it doesn't fly off. But I think ultimately, until their hair is REALLY long liek Vilette's girls, the ribbons will fall off every once in a while. Coco is just getting used to wearing dresses and bows. She doesn't seem to have an opinion on them. She stays still while I dress her up (most of the time). I hope this helped.
