When we got our first poodle, I took her to Petsmart several times, they charged like $40, but I had to drive an hour each way and then wait around for 3-4 hrs. Plus, I always had to touch up spots that they missed, so I got fed up and bought the equipment to do it myself. I found a hobby that I never would have known I enjoyed.

Missy , because you are teaching yourself I want you to look into getting a book that I have found so very helpful when I am teaching . It is called "Notes from the Grooming Table ' I just love it. If there is a breed you do not know it explains everything to you. It is a bit expensive but worth it.
