Mojo does this too! All the time! To the point that my husband gets aggravated because it is slimy! Ha! Sometimes he will do it when he is excited (of course), or going after toes is a big one. But it is normally him just licking....and licking....and licking.....you get the picture.
I am w/ you, he has water bowls all over (filled fresh twice daily, if not more), and I rarely have lotions on (my husband, never), so I just don't know what it is....if they just want to so compassion, love or what.....
