Sallyvine, something that I have been thinking about since reading your thread is that Sophie and Mac are not in pain anymore. I kept her alive too long because I didn't want to not have her in my present life. However, when I remember her beautiful eyes looking at me, so very sick, I am so glad she isn't living with that terrible disease which caused her so much pain.

I bet Mac was a little fighter like Sophie. She would rally, then I would have hope but in the end, she was just worn out. All of her energy was exhausted.

Bless little Mac and Sophie. Warmly, Deborah

PS You think you have moved to a deeper acceptance, and then reading your note returns me to that sad day. It takes time and allow the tears to fall once again for our beloved friends.
