When I emailed Jen and Mary Lou about Trace's diagnosis, I havent ever gotten so much as a reply from them which doesnt make me too happy since I did buy 2 dogs from them and have stood up for them numerouse times on this forum. I didnt sign a contract with them, I just went on their word that they stand behind their dogs. My mistake. I hope the OP got a signed contract as I stated earlier. I got Trace for a very good price considering he had wonderful bloodlines loaded with Durrer's and I had high hopes for getting some show quality pups out of him one day. I am bummed, but things like this happen and it is always a risk when you are dealing with animals. It could happen to any of us. I am not 100% sure Legg Perthes is genetic. From what I read it is but you never know. If nothing else I have learned a valuable lesson in this even if is was a costly lesson. I will be smarter in the future.
Why was Tami offered a replacement dog? What dog of hers needed to be replaced and why??? Who were the dam and sire to that dog?
