Update on Champ who was the meanest yorkie ever Champ turned a year old on April 8. He is such a good little dog now. If you are having trouble with your dog, don't give up there is hope. I posted several months ago about all of his bad behaviors. I took him to the Petsmart beginners class, I really enjoyed it and he learned alot. I would recommend it. He did always try to bite the blood out of me, he has stopped. He would never let me hold him or pet him. He now lets me hold him and pet him and I don't force him to stay when he is done with me. He quit chewing up everything. I was letting him have free run of my house, he was peeing and pooping all over my house, stains everywhere. He is potty trained now. The people at Petsmart said to confine him to one room and not let him have free run of the house. I put up a gate on my family room where we are all the time and he is not allowed in the rest of the house anymore. I crate him when I am out. He had only a couple of accidents in the beginning and that was it. I don't know why he won't go potty in this room like he did in the rest of the house. He goes to the door and lets us know when he needs to potty. I wish I would of confined him to one room so much sooner. Anyone having trouble potty training try this and take them out often. I don't know what mostly helped Champ, I think he grew up and the training helped, too. He is a fine little dog now. I've tried in the past posting pictures of him, but I couldn't get them the right size. |
