I'd say you can't go wrong with another one. Eddie isn't too old that he would be offended by a new brother/sister. They will keep each other company when they have to be left alone, and you will enjoy them so much. I was surprised how much fun it is to have 3! I think that either sex would be fine since Eddie is fixed. Maybe a rescue would be in order? There are usually ones that age availabe all the time, unfortunately some people just want them when they are puppies
