The only disqualification in the US standard will be the one added to the color description......"will" be accepted (just a formality) by AKC at their next meeting.

Size is not a disqualification.....However, those on the smaller side of the spectrum do have difficulty finishing.

Now, the dogs being presented in NY this last February were a bit smaller than what is usually presented there. Reason; the judges and their preferences. It's usually not the norm at the National, you'll usually find them on the upper end of the scale. Especially in those that are being Specialed.
