I don't really know, cuz Winston goes to a groomer every 2 weeks, I'm not sure how ofter she trims his ears, I assume it's at every visit cuz I think his ears always look the same, and they've always stood up...sorry I couldn't really help you, but I'm sure someone will have a better answer.
